"I began using the diet in February of 2008 in a tight size 18 weighing 230 lbs. By the end of June I was in a size 14 and down to 180 lbs.
... this last cycle I finally hit the 170 mark (top of the healthy weight for my height)! I still have 20 lbs until my goal and will continue using this diet until it is reached. Other diets may work for me as well, but I like this one because it tells me what to eat. I still can choose when to eat which meal and choose between a couple things for each meal, but basically my menu is planned. No decision on what I “should” eat to be healthy or to lose weight; it has been decided for me. "I began the Fat loss 4 Idiots program because it just sounded right for an idiot like myself. By June of 2007 I had yo-yo'ed
myself up to 294lbs. Every diet I tried resulted in more poundage. I lost 8 pounds on the basic 9-day version the first week, 25 lbs the first month. Then I went on a Cruise for 2 weeks and put on 10 pounds. I got serious again and lost down to 240 at a rate of about 5 lbs per month over a period of 8 months. That was my first "plateau". It took a while but I got my discipline back and began to lose at a rate of about 2-3 pounds per month. I now weigh 220 and I've been in a holding pattern(220-225) for about a year but I suppose 74 lbs in 2 years is something of a success story. I have a real problem with chocolate, dining-out, lattes, and Frozen Yogurt(which is allowed but not to the extent of my addiction to it). Good luck if you decide to try it but be aware--there is no diet that works unless there is a committed change of lifestyle and eating choices."
